I'm deleting the archives too (or at least hiding them in a remote corner of the Internet). There's things I've written about that I don't like to remember. Seeing as how they're part of my past, I can't very well just get rid of them all together, so they'll just be locked away for a while.

Anyway, if you don't know me, or want to know me better, you can go to my new TagWorld account. I was going to write a big summary of the past 4 years of writing in this journal, but it would take way too long. There's really not much of a point to it anyway. It's all in the past now. And so is this.

The End of the Start of Something Great

I'm back home now. My time at Disney is over and done, and I miss it like crazy. Now it's back to sitting on my butt all day playing guitar and being lonely, at least until I get a job. Hopefully I'll be working at Starbucks starting this week, but we'll see if that works out.

Working for Disney was one of the best experiences of my life. I went through a lot in the last four months, even if I didn't post about it much. I had a lot of good relationships with people, I made a lot of friends, and I'm going to miss them all (some more than others). I slept through a hurricane (though it wasn't a major one), I worked over 50 hours a week, and I missed all my favorite holidays. And yet, it was the best decision I ever made. Hopefully I'll stay close with the people I've met, and hopefully I'll go back sometime soon to work for Disney again. Maybe spring break if I'm not too busy with other things.

Christmas is being celebrated with my entire family tomorrow, and I'm real excited. We'll have lots of good food and lots of good presents. I already opened up my ones from Santa a couple days ago and I got some awesome stuff. Maybe I'll post pictures of it soon. I put up pictures of my last few weeks in Disney, if anybody wants to see them.

Have a fantastic day!

P.S. - It's really freakin' cold in this state.

And December Ends

Well, The Lady is not coming down to Florida, alas! But it's ok, 'cause I'll be very busy 'til I go home. Tonight is my last night off of work, then I'm working at least 8 hours every night. Should be fun.

Anyway, Christmas was boring. It was pretty much like any other day at the Magic Kingdom. We have the same Christmas parade and fireworks throughout the month of December, so it was the same on the 25th as the 24th, 23rd, etc. So no big thing. The 30th and 31st should be fun, 'cause we have special fireworks for the New Year on those two nights. But tomorrow we're open 'til 4 AM and I know that won't be too much fun.

I just wanted everybody to know I'm doing ok, and I'll see you really soon back home in Jersey. I should be back by midday on the 4th, hopefully. I hope you've all had a fine and dandy holiday season, and if not, we'll just start up a new holiday when I get back. Bye for now, and Happy New Year.

And December Starts

Hey everybody. This space has been mostly vacant lately, and I apologize for that. November was a really busy month, and so far December's shaping up to be just as busy, if not worse. Around the holidays I work a lot more hours than usual. I've also been keeping busy with Brittany. We went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on the 1st, and that was a lot of fun. There's free hot chocolate and cookies, a parade, special fireworks, and other really cool stuff. It was nifty. We've been going out Christmas shopping too, which is interesting since I have pretty much no money.

Other than that, I've been writing some music, which pleases me. I went into a bit of a writer's block a while back, but I've got about 5 new songs written over the past month or so. I might make a little EP out of it. We'll see. I wanna show the songs to Nathan when I get back home, maybe we'll put a whole band to them. Nathan, if you're reading this...um...read the last sentence.

To those of you back home who I haven't been keeping close contact with: my immense apologies. There's a lot of people I haven't talked to that I really like a lot, and I feel bad about not talking to you. I've just been extra busy with crap. But if you're coming down with The Lady Is Not for Burning at the end of the month, hopefully I'll see you all then. I'm excited about seeing all of the band and their posse. I wish I was going to be home to see Brandon though, I hear he's coming back to Jersey for a few weeks to hang out with Cadence and Sloan. BV, stick around 'til the 3rd or so, ok? I wanna chill with you.

Ok, I can't think of much else to write about. Oh, I put up new photos at the photo page. Link's at the top of the page. And I switched up the look of my Myspace, if anybody feels like checkin' it out and adding me or something. Ah, and I have exactly one month until I come home. Alright, that should do it. I'm gonna let some 70s hits lull me to sleep now. Have a nice night, everybody.

Shortest Update Ever

Update soon! But here's my advice for those of you who may go through a hurricane in the future:

Sleep through it.

It's really quite easy. I thought it would be loud thunder and winds all night long, but I guess I fell asleep at a good time in the storm, 'cause I bypassed all of that in my sleep. Now I'm awake, refreshed, and ready for work at 4:45. No hurricane's gonna keep me down.

It's supposed to rain on Friday and Saturday, when Nate and Jen are here. But so far, it says it'll just be light sprinkles. Hopefully we'll still go to the parks. But regardless, I'm sure we'll have a damn good time.

For now, farewell.

Living in 1103

Hey everybody. Made the move to Apartment 1103 last Thursday, and things are going well. My roommates are great. There's only 6 of us, as opposed to the 8 in my last apartment. One of my old roommates, Terrence, ended up moving over to 1103 too. So it's me, Terrence, Dejuan, Will, Chadd, and John in this apartment. Dejuan's the one I share a room with. Things are cool over here, the apartment's much cleaner and the guys are all cool. One of the best parts is that I no longer share a bathroom with 3 other guys, it's just me and Dejuan that have one. Convenient.

Anyway, things have been relatively good, but I've been a little stressed. I got all sorts of overage charges from the bank last week, and I'm close to 90 bucks in debt. That should be sorted out by this Thursday, when I get paid, but I won't have much money for when Nate and Jen are here. By the way, Nate and Jen are coming down Friday through Sunday, and I'm extra excited about it. I've got off Friday and Saturday, and I'm going to try and get someone to take my shift on Sunday. But back to my money problems. I got my parents to transfer some money from my savings account into my checking, so I had 100 bucks to spend on gas and groceries. So now at least I can transport myself, and I won't starve.

I loaded up on supplies for Wilma, who should be stopping by sometime tomorrow. Wilma's the name of the hurricane that's going to hit my house, by the way. It's not some girl. If you thought it was, you're a very stupid person. Anyway, the hurricane's supposed to be here throughout Monday, but that means the weather should be nice and clear for when my friends come this weekend.

Ok, that's my update for this week, maybe I'll remember to put another one up soon. Keep cool back in Jersey, and I'll sweat my ass off down here.

A Much-Delayed and Much-Needed Update

Wow, holy crap, a lot has changed since last time I made an update. Well, some things have changed. Others, unfortunately, have not. Last time I wrote, my roommates were filthy bastards who didn't clean up after themselves! That hasn't changed much. That's why I'm moving out. I'll be moving over to Apartment 1103 in Chatham Square (from Apt. 28101 in CS), and I went over there tonight to meet my new roommates and see how the apartment is. The guys are cool, the apartment is clean, and I think I'll like it much much more over there. I'm going to go pick up my key tomorrow hopefully, and I'll tell you all about my new roommates then.

In other news, my mom and Paul visited last week, and we had a good time. We spent the entire day on Saturday at the parks, starting with Animal Kingdom at 9:30 AM and ending with Magic Kingdom at 11 PM. It was a busy day to say the least. It was really good to see them, too, I haven't talked to them nearly enough while I've been gon. In two more weeks, Nathan and Jen will be coming down, and then we'll have another party. I can't wait to see them again, it's going to be awesome. Especially now that I won't be scared to show them my apartment.

About two weeks ago, Tara and I broke up. To be honest, I kissed another girl, and I'm not proud of that. But Tara's got a new boyfriend, and I've got a new girlfriend, and we both seem happy. I'm happy, at least, and I think Tara is. My girlfriend Brittany is awesome, though. She came to the parks with me and Mom and Paul last week, and we went to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on Tuesday. I've put some pictures up on my photo page of us, so go check them out whenever you get a chance.

I'll write again soon, to let you know how things are going with my move to 1103. Talk to you later.

Things Have Been Good

Well, last week was eventful. I had seven roommates: Dave, Ron, Nick, Terrence, Todd, George, and Sergio. We all get along fairly well, though nobody cleans up after themselves most of the time. I don't know how many times I've come home and just cleaned the kitchen to keep myself from going insane. Apparently we have a bit of a pest problem, and we're getting our house sprayed down on the 23rd or something to get rid of the roaches. If people took the freakin' garbage out or didn't leave food out on the counters, perhaps this wouldn't be an issue. And jeez, we need to decorate this place.

Anyway, last week was eventful. Not only was work keeping me busy, but my homelife was interesting too. Nick went drinking one night and ended up getting in a fight with Ron 'cause Nick was saying shit about the girls upstairs (they don't like him too much) and Ron ended up punching the wall. I suppose it's better than punching Nick, though. Then later in the week, Sergio got arrested, it seems he was in some trouble with the military or something. Don't ask.

His girlfriend lives upstairs, actually (that's how I met all the girls upstairs) and she was pretty upset. She had to move all his stuff out of our apartment for him. We're pretty sure he's not coming back, but who knows, there could always be a miracle. But if not, I'm looking into finding Cadence a job down here. That would be cool if he moved in with us.

I haven't been updating on a regular basis, mostly because my work schedule is pretty crazy. I've got work 5 days a week, which isn't bad, but I've also got class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8-11 AM. They seem like cool classes though, and I like my teachers. On top of that, I've gotta try and keep up with my online math class (which is going well, thanks for asking), and still try and find time to go grocery shopping and relax with my roommates.

I got my schedule shifted tonight with one of my coworkers. 'Cause if you know me at all, you know what tonight is. It's the season premiere of Lost (on ABC, at 9 PM). Dave's ex-girlfriend Brittany lives a couple buildings away and she's a big fan. So I think she's making dinner for some of us and we're watching the show together. That'll be cool.

Anyway, hope everybody's doing well at home or in Ohio or wherever you're reading this from. I'll try to update at least once a week, but hopefully more. And I'll put up more photos over at my photo page later this week, as soon as I actually take some pictures. If you haven't seen the site yet, you should go look. Alright, I'm going to make pierogies or ravioli or some other word containing the letters i and o. Later.

A Day in Disney

Well, it's been asked what my typical day is like here in Florida. So far, I haven't had a bad day yet. I will admit, I've had a minute or two when I got a little homesick, but it's only when I'm awake by myself at night. Usually I'm so busy at work or hanging out with my new friends that I don't think about home too much, thankfully. Still, I like to take a little while every couple days to call my family, 'cause I do miss them, as annoying as that is.

Anyway, I never let you guys know where I'm working or anything! So I'll get that all out of the way right now.

I work at Magic Kingdom, in Frontierland. I'm a retail associate, or a "Merchantainer" as we call it here. They call it Merchantaining because you do more than just try to sell people stuff. It's more that you try to help them find what they need than push something they don't need on them, which I like.

Another part of my job is that I get to talk to little kids and help them have even more fun at Disney. Just last night (my shift was from 5-11:15 PM) I saw two little girls getting pushed in on a stroller. One was dressed as Sleeping Beauty, another was Tinkerbell. Well, Tinkerbell was crying her little butt off and I just couldn't have that. So I got down on one knee and said "Hey Princess! Hi Tinkerbell! Aw, Tinkerbell, you can't cry! You have to go set off the fireworks soon!" The girl stopped crying pretty much immediately and got all excited about going to see the fireworks. While they were still in the store, I gave her a little wand to play with, and she was fine the whole time she was in there.

Her sister was funny, too. She got up out of the stroller and picked up one of these light-up swords we have, and she started trying to hit me with it. So I grabbed another sword, and we dueled in the store. I told her I liked her better when she was still Sleeping Beauty, and not Awake and Violent Beauty. Her dad thought that was funny.

So that part of my job makes it different than other jobs, and it's really cool. There's other odd aspects of my job that I'll tell you about in my next post. I don't want to make this one too long. Anyway, I hope that describes a basic work day for me pretty well. To me, that's what my job is all about.

I'll write again soon.

Paperwork and Hurricanes

Hey everybody, I got here safe, everything's cool. Yesterday I hauled my butt over from the hotel I was staying at with my family to go to Vista Way at around 9 AM. A little early for me, but hey, I'm writing this at 8:50 in the morning now, so I guess I've adjusted a bit. Anyway, Vista Way is the main apartment complex for the people in the College Program. I walked over the complex filling out paperwork and stuff, and I got my apartment assignment. I'm living in Chatham Square, the newly-constructed (well, like 2001 or something, I think) and bigger apartment complex. When I say bigger, I mean the apartment is big, not the complex. In fact, it's so big that we can fit 7 other people in here. Yeah, that's right. I have 8 roommates.

Dave, Ron, George, Nick, Sergio, Terrence, and Todd are my seven roommates. They all seem like nice guys so far, we all get along fine. Dave and I share a room, and that's going good so far. He'll probably end up beating the crap out of me eventually if I step on his toes too much, but things seem cool. A couple of us spent last night watching movies and visiting neighbors. It seems like it's going to be a good four months so far.

We'll see if my mind changes.

Anyway, I've gotta go head over to Vista Way to fill out some more paperwork this morning and get my work assignment. I'll let you know what that is, and post some pictures hopefully, when I get back later tonight or tomorrow. By the way, I posted some other pictures in the post before this, you should check them out. You don't have to sign up for an account or anything, promise.

Alright, bye for now, everybody.

Photos From Jersey

Hey everybody. I'll put my address up next week. And if you get a chance, you're always welcome to visit me in Florida. Give me a little notice and I'll get you some hotel discounts.
